Nasturtium blossoms and healthy
Lemonade
Now is a great time to 'wow' your lunch or tea time guests with stuffed
Nasturtium blossoms and Lemonade sweetened with Stevia("sweet leaf").
It's so easy to do!
Pick fresh Nasturtium flowers, cutting the stem just below the flower. Put
room-temperature cream cheese, flavored with fruit (like pineapple or
strawberry), into a baggie with a small hole poked into one corner. Then
'pipe' the cream cheese into the center of each Nasturtium blossom.
Refrigerate to keep the flowers fresh and firm.
Serve as an hors d'ouvre or as edible decoration for a garden salad.
The peppery flavor of the Nasturtium blossom is complimented by the fruity
creaminess of the cream cheese filling.
Fresh Lemonade with Stevia as a sweetener:
Squeeze 4 to 6 lemons and strain the juice.
Dissolve about 2 to 3 teaspoons of powdered Stevia into about 1 cup of very
warm water.
Add lemon juice to about 1 quart of cold water, add the Stevia water for
sweetener, refrigerate.
When serving this delicious, extremely low-calorie, no glycemic index
healthy drink, remember that you are also NOT serving toxic aspartame or
splenda to your family or guests.
